Remembering Fun Times with Art Kennel Tribute by Daniel Goodyear

Some of the founding members of PLAA. Sadly, Art Kennel and Dick Snyder are no longer with us.

“As long as I knew Art, he was a champion for llamas in all respects…breeding, showing, and of course as a doctor, the health and welfare of camelids. His support and involvement in the Morris Animal Foundation was legendary. I had the privilege of serving with Art on committees and boards and learned from his characteristic quality of humility as he expounded his wisdom to enhance the advancement of llamas and alpacas. As a friend, I discovered his sense of humor and remember many fun times. Rest in peace, Art.”To read Arthur J. Kennel’s obituary, click here.We also remember, sadly, the passing of another giant in our industry, Dick Snyder, pictured in the photo above, bottom, third from right, our gentle giant. Rest in peace, Dick.
